The Web Tulip
Since 2012, I’ve been working as a freelancer in graphic and web design; the idea of being my own boss had always been a childhood dream. And although I had worked as a project manager in the corporate world for many years, the idea of starting my own graphic design business in my new home country was exciting—but also scary.
Three years later, I am still thankful I had the courage to make that decision and take that first step. With my graphic design degree in hand, I took every opportunity to learn and grow. I got involved in the world of networking, which was completely new to me. I met fantastic people who became mentors, clients and friends. As I learned more about the needs of my clients, I adapted my initial business plan to include other digital services.
From Tulip Design to The Web Tulip
After 3 years, the name “Tulip Design” just didn’t fit anymore. In January 2015, I changed the name to “The Web Tulip”. (Thankfully, the domain name was still available!). This allowed me to incorporate other services such as web analysis, web consultancy, web maintenance, internet marketing, social media design, and brand design.
The name change made me rethink my own branding. I made sketches and compositions over time until one day I thought, “This is it, this is how I want to brand The Web Tulip! Although the new branding meant extra work (changes in my marketing materials, social media outlets, and website pages), I knew that I had to follow the same advice I always give to all my clients; “When it comes to branding, continuity is key.”
The Web Tulip is an L.L.C
As of June, 2015 my business has been formally incorporated into a Limited Liability Corporation. Becoming an LLC was just one more necessary step in growing my business, partnering with other professionals and continuing my work in the field I love–with clients who are ready to take that next step in their business! Check out my website and social media; I will start posting new information regularly about developments in the digital world, “Nice To Know” posts, or freebies for visitors to download.
Don’t hesitate to contact me. I love my new look and want you to have that same transformative experience for your own business. Whether it’s a new look, a new logo, re-branding or assisting your company in their web design, I’m here to help you make that happen.
